Your Ugly Season of Pruning is About to Produce a Beautiful Season of Richer and Finer Fruit!

Good Morning My Loves,

Yesterday, Pastor Rick and I were enjoying the beauty of our backyard, and we began discussing the way it looked when took possession of the property in July 2014. I remember looking at all the “holes” in the hedges after he began pruning all the dead and diseased parts off, and thinking “That looks awful. It looks worse now than it did when he started cutting.”

However, I realized that without those gaps and sparse looking areas, those beautiful plants were going to die. Because they were well rooted, they survived that pruning and here we are a few seasons later looking at their growth and fullness, and appreciating their beauty once again. That wouldn’t have happened without going through an “ugly” season, and waiting for them to recover and begin to produce new growth.

As I awoke this morning the Lord gave me this word:

“What I pruned in the last season is about to bear much fruit! However some are stuck on the pain of the pruning, rather than keeping a forward focus and anticipation for what is about to come forth. The enemy has accused Me of “not” being a good Father because of the pain they are currently experiencing. Nothing could be further from the truth. I pruned the dead and diseased off of them so they could flourish. The enemy is doing his best to get them to stop believing that I’m good, and that I’m not going to bring them through this better off than before. To cause them to get into doubt and unbelief, and give up on their dreams.

For others the pain of this season’s pruning is causing them to romanticize the past, and they are looking back with irrational longings for things to be “what they used to be.” They’ve adopted a “grass is greener mentality” and if they don’t submit to the season of growth that is being presented to them, they will uproot and run back to things that will bring great destruction.

I say “irrational” because the way things “used to be” was actually “killing them spiritually, relationally, and financially.” Instead of looking at what I have pruned, and I’m currently pruning as a “gain,” they are looking at it as a “loss,” and the enemy is bringing demonic grief and discouragement.

-They must fight through the grief and discouragement by prayer and trusting Me, stay put, not look back, and wait with hopeful expectation for what I’m going to do through this season of pain and pruning!

-Many things they prayed and believed for years are about to spring forth! I’m interceding on their behalf that they “commit” rather than “split!

-Those that stay at their post will receive the MOST!

It’s time to rise up with an “attitude of gratitude,” rebuke the devil, rejoice in FAITH, and get ready to enjoy the “growth, increase, gain, and fruitfulness” of this new season.” ABBA In John 15, Jesus basically says “I am the vine, you (followers) are the branches. And branches must get used to being “repeatedly” pruned in order to experience richer and finer fruit!” John 15:1-2 (AMP)

Jesus Is the Vine—Followers Are Branches

15 “I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].

My beloved, don’t allow yourself to stay stuck on the pain or the past. Because here’s what that does: -Robs you of the joy of the present.

-Keeps you from preparing for the future.

-Clouds your decision making skills.

-Creates more problems, rather than solving them.

-Leads to more discouragement and depression.

-Causes you to look back and adapt a “grass is greener” mentality. This leads to uprooting, breaking covenant, destroying relationships and future growth, and aborting the richer and finer fruit that would’ve come forth had you stayed put and persevered.

-Damages your physical health.

It’s impossible to stay stuck on the pain or the past when you’ve come to understand that it’s God’s goodness and LOVE that causes Him to prune us. It’s impossible to stay stuck when you’ve learned what NOT to do, and you’re busy planning your future success. Let’s take the opposite tack and rejoice for the season of “richer and finer” fruit that is coming forth. Let’s thank God and remember that even our “ugly seasons” are producing good things. I love you all! PV
