Something Good Is Going to Happen To You Today!

Good Morning My Loves,

I was in the store yesterday buying a shower gift for a friend and I saw a little wooden sign that said, “Something Good Is Going to Happen Today!” I thought to myself, “A person who lives with that mindset, will have a lot of miraculous things happen for them!” Why? Because I’ve learned that anticipation and hopeful expectation is evidence of faith, and faith causes things to happen.

As I stood there smiling and thinking about something good happening to me, the Lord whispered, “If you have faith for good, you’ll experience good things. If you have faith for bad things, you’ll experience bad things. What are you expecting?" Pastor Rod Parsley always says, “Expectation is the breeding ground of miracles.” Many people live with the anticipation and expectation of bad things, and you know what they get? BAD THINGS! I’d rather live by the little wooden sign, “Something GOOD is Going to Happen Today!” I’ve learned that no matter what kind of adversity comes into my life, I can have a mindset that, “Something Good Is Going to Happen Today!” Do I have bad things happen to me? Yes. We all do. But, I have so many good things happen throughout the day that I thank God for, and my grateful heart is overwhelmed by how He uses me, and favors me, regardless of what I’m going through. Many of you have that same testimony!:-) He truly does “work ALL things together for our good!” (Rom 8:28) I couldn’t help but think of Paul and how much adversity he faced, and yet he always expected Christ to be exalted in him whether he lived or died! Paul was in confinement in Rome when he wrote his letter to the Philippians. He didn't know whether he would be set free or executed, but he knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Paul had seen God's hand at work and fully understood His love and power. He had completely turned his life over to God and always lived IN THE NOW-MOMENT WITH AN EXCITEMENT AND ANTICIPATION at how God would use him to accomplish His plan, whether it looked good or bad. He knew something good was always going to happen TODAY!

"I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body whether by life or by death.” (Phil 1:20)

Paul’s hardship made it possible for the whole palace guard to hear the gospel message and he encouraged others to “speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly” (Phil 1:14) Like Paul, there have been times that our situations have seemed dismal and without hope, but when we see how God was using ALL things for His glory, we too can say “God caused good things to happen that day!” Many people live miserable lives waiting for future happiness, and miss the true joy God has for them TODAY! He is calling us to look with eager anticipation for how He’ll fulfill his will and plan in our lives TODAY!

Let’s begin each day with anticipation and expectation. Let’s say, “God, I can’t wait to see what You do through me TODAY! I know that good things are going to happen TODAY, because You’re going to use me and be exalted in my life regardless of what it looks like!”

I love you all! PV
