It's Time to PERK UP!

Good Morning My Loves,

The past few days I’ve felt the Holy Spirit breathing on the message of “sowing and reaping.” On July 14th, 2016 (night before last) I had a dream in which I was standing next to two large fields. Both had tomato plants on them, and it was hot and dry. They both looked like they were about to shrivel up and die. I knew that the field on the right was mine and I had to do something about it. I said, “I need WATER NOW!” Immediately a large hose appeared to come out of my belly. I started flooding a row at a time and they began perking up. A man appeared at the field next to me, but he seemed distracted and uninterested in watering his field. I yelled out, “You need to water your plants NOW or they aren’t going to make it!” He said, “Give me your hose.” I said, “You must ask for your own. I need mine! I’ve got to take care of my field. ASK FOR YOUR OWN. HURRY. They’re dying.” He said, “I’ve got things to do, I’m tired of waiting on these plants to produce. You can have them if you want them. I’m done. I’m outa here. He got in his truck and left. I began watering them and they perked right up.” I woke up. When I opened my computer this morning to write, one of the first e-mails in my box was from Bed Bath and Beyond, and it was an ad for a coffee maker which read, “It’s time to PERK UP!” I knew God was speaking a word to His people. “Don’t let your crop dry up and die. Water your seed. It’s time to PERK UP!”

I prayed into the dream and here’s the interpretation: Tomato: the South American plant of the nightshade family that produces this fruit. It is widely grown as a cash crop, and many varieties have been developed. Most people consider tomatoes a vegetable, but they’re actually “fruit.” When they’re grown in quantity it’s for a “cash crop.” Even though the farmer enjoys eating the fruit, and gains strength from them, they’re also for his financial provision and livelihood.

God was showing me that many have sown much. However they’ve become weary and dry. In this season we must water our seed and take care of our fields. The Field: represents the soil (ministries, people, our own soul) that we’ve sown into.

The Tomato Plants: Represent those that we’ve invested in. Many of them are dry and in need of watering. The Water: Represents the life-giving water of the Holy Spirit pouring forth from our lives. Jesus said, "He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’” (John 7:38 AMP)

We can’t depend on someone else’s water supply to tend to our fields. We must “daily” stay filled to the top and overflowing with the Holy Spirit. When we pray and worship, we water our own soul and release that LIVING WATER into the atmosphere. When we pray and speak life over others we release the life-giving river of the Holy Spirit over them.

If we’ll begin to pray for, and speak life over ourselves and those around us, we’ll perk up, and bear much fruit. We’ll not only be able to eat the sweet fruit of each other’s lives and receive strength from one another, but we’ll also be a source of financial blessing and Kingdom wealth. There are others that are drying out, and those that were called to tend to the spiritual lives of others (pastors and ministry leaders) have grown weary, checked out, and some have abandoned their post. Look around and start speaking life over them. God is going to use your prayers and encouragement in their life to save them from spiritual dryness and death. You’ll experience a great harvest from the lives of these precious ones. Look up, cry out to God for a fresh filling. Begin to pour out the life-giving water of the Holy Spirit upon every dry soul you encounter, beginning with your own. A huge and “fruitful” harvest awaits you! I love you all! PV
