Post Election: We Must Pray and Demonstrate the Power of The Holy Spirit Now More Than Ever!
Good Morning My Loves,
I believe that we need to be “filled” with the power of the Holy Spirit, and aware of our authority in Christ more than ever before! As God is raising up godly and fearless leaders into high places of governing authority we will see the kind of warfare that the nation is experiencing right now. Why? Because there is always a war against holiness in the high places.
The enemy is stirred up right now. There are protests by those who are burning the flag and performing outrageous acts of dishonor towards President Donald Trump. I’ve never seen those who claim to know Christ behave like this over a loss by their preferred candidate in an election before. It is the spirit of this age. Complete lawlessness, dishonor for authorities, and rebellion on display. We must pray, and demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit or we’ll get pulled into the enemy’s tactics ourselves.
We must pray, bless not curse, and demonstrate Christlike behavior even though we disagree. It it obvious that these people have not been taught how to disagree without being dishonoring. We must show them how to do that. We must be those that stay humble, loving, strong, steady, and dependent on the Holy Spirit.
One thing I’ve learned is that you cannot fight satan in the same spirit or your flesh. There is a passage in Jude that shows that even Michael the archangel wasn’t powerful enough to argue with and defeat satan. He had to call upon the power of God to defeat him in order to claim the body of Moses.
Jude 9 (AMP)
9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil (Satan), and arguing about the body of Moses, did not dare bring an abusive condemnation against him, but [simply] said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
Think about that. If an archangel didn’t have the power to stand against satan on his own, what makes you think you or I do without the power of God flowing through us? Michael's actions are not a picture of defeat, but one of victory. It shows us that we must depend upon the Lord as he did, and we’ll have the victory that he did!
"Being filled with, and dependent upon the Holy Spirit is not optional if we want to walk in victory."
The only defense that we have against the taunting and enticements of the enemy to engage in a fleshly battle, is dependence on the Holy Spirit.
This is a war against “holiness in the high places!” Make no mistake about it. satan isn’t happy about the godly decisions that are about to be made in the highest office of our nation. He knows that God’s people are praying and God is answering. He hates God, hates the Word of God, hates God’s people, and hates the deliverance of those under his power and control!
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We must remember:
-The Holy Spirit is a Person. He is God. He is LOVE. He is the power that raised Christ from the dead.
-He is more than a mysterious influence. He did not allow Christ to stay down in defeat, and He will not allow us to either.
-We don’t have to yell, burn flags, beat blow up dolls of our President like a piñata and set them on fire to make our point.
-We can stand in the power of the Holy Spirit, appeal to heaven in prayer, and trust Him to raise up a standard against the enemy.
Isaiah 59:19 (NKJV)

So shall they fear
The name of the Lord from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
I like the way the Amplified says it:

And His glory from the rising of the sun.
For He will come in like a narrow, rushing stream
Which the breath (Spirit) of the Lord drives [overwhelming the enemy].
Believer, keep your mouth in check, your love walk in check, and your prayer life fervent. The Spirit of God is moving like a fresh wind and a powerful flowing river right now. He is going to use you overwhelm the enemy with His power, and those under satan’s influence with His love. Stay filled, and trust Him!
